Thought I would post here again since a kind DUer gave me a
STAR. I have not been able to post for awhile due to no money to donate.
But I thought I would update everyone on my progress as I have been continuing to read here.
As of last week I have lost......

85 lbs!!!

Eating healthier foods, smaller portions and exercising like a crazy women works.

I still want to lose some more, but my life has changed so much in the last 18 months.

1. Wow, that's pretty impressive!
You'll have to share some of your "tricks of the trade" that helped you reach this amazing milestone! Congratulations! :yourock:

2. The two biggest "tricks" for me are....
write down everything you eat, everything & exercise at least 6 days a week.
Trust me, I am not perfect, but these are my goals.

3. It's great to have you back here again ... and ...
WOW :woohoo: :applause: :woohoo:

Losing 85lbs is no easy thing, CONGRATULATIONS!

It's sure nice of folks to donate on our behalf. I lost my star a while back and out of the blue I received another from an anonymous DUer.

How long has it taken you to lose the 85lbs and how much more would you like to lose?

6. It's took me about a year and a half.
Slow, but steady. I would like to lose another 20, I think, but as much as I am exercising, I'm not sure. I will just go by how I look and feel.

it's taken me almost 3 years to lose 90 pounds, i swear i am the slowest weight loser ever but i'm glad it's taken this long because i've actually gotten used to my new life style.

9. WooHOO! 85lbs! that's amazing!
I'm so glad you have joined our group and have shared your story. Did it take you 18 months to lose the 85 lbs? Can you share a bit more about how you became the new you?

11. Portion control, clean eating, and exercising almost every day.
This morning I worked out for two and a half hours. Cardio, Back & leg weights, abs, and yoga.
I then had an egg white omelet with veggies and soy cheese. Had a snack of fresh fruit mid morning.
For lunch my husband made an incredibly yummy chicken dish with tons of garlic, onions and peppers with a side of mixed veggies. (I think I need to brush my teeth again)
I think I will do another workout this afternoon because I am going to a baseball game tonight and I really want a beer.
It took my just over 18 months to get here. When I first started I could only do about 10 mins of kick boxing and I wanted to die. Now I have no problem doing an hour.
I think the most important thing is you cannot change everything at once, you have to make small steps every day and forgive yourself when you slip (because we all slip).

10. Great progess, I've been on a relearning excercise too......
Edited on Fri May-16-08 09:30 PM by Historic NY
smaller portions, 6 small meals 200 cal each ,cut back on drinking, switched to splenda from sugar and the weight starting dropping faster. On the 20th it will be a year for me and I'm 115 lbs.lighter. I walk on the treadmill mostly everyday, its got to the point when I don't I feel like crap. I could only do 22 minutes or so in the beginning and now I can go 2hrs. I try to do at least 5 miles (10000) steps daily.

So don't give up or give in. My life went upside down and then I decided to take charge.
