So here's the plan: read the South Beach diet book this week and plan menus for the
next two weeks. Starting next Tuesday (after hitting the grocery store next Monday) IT'S ON!. All the college student will be back at school then and my husband will be out of town so I'll just be cooking for me and the high school kid. As it happens, she's one of those bottomless pits (or hummingbirds) who has to eat constantly just to maintain her skinny self. This should prove interesting!

1. Good luck!
Me? I'm doing the Fat Flush Program, which I've had great success with in the past. Menu planning definitely helps, whatever one ends up doing with respect to weight-loss goals.

2. So it's been 2 days and 1 pound - I had a really tough time yesterday and
just happened to pick up a copy of Prevention Magazine that realy saved me. The article noted that cravings go away after about 15 minutes if you get busy with something else.

3. Well, that went poorly. I found out that I can not cut out carbs the way
the diet outlines as the starter plan! RIght now I'm just doing more research and going to the gym.

4. HH it's a really hard 2 weeks phase 1 is but i did some modification so wouldn't harm anyone
but if it doesn't work for you try something else. You do not have to be perfect on phase 1, i know they say you do but you really don't, you may not lose like 10 pounds, maybe 7 instead but at least you'll retain your sanity.

6. Keep your chin up, and keep doing what feels right to you
Even cutting some carbs out will help you lose weight. Chimpsrsmarter is right: you will still lose weight, just not at the same rate. But I can almost promise you, that cutting the carbs will help you lose weight more quickly. You just have to adjust the diet to fit with your system, and what you can consistently do.

You're going to do great- :hi:
