Want to see how far you're walking?
Check out this site: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

They've added a "pedometer" to Google maps so you can see how many miles you're walking or riding or even traveling by car. You can save the routes, too, as a bookmark. I've been using it for more than a year to map my bike routes. It's very easy to use, too.

I just checked my route and found out that one is only two miles (I thought it was 2.5) and the other is about 1.75.

Have fun! :hi:

1. this is fantastic, Longhorn!
I'm still figuring out how to use it, but at least I won't have to drive my walking route to figure out how far I've gone! Thanks for sharing!! :hi:

4. Very nice!
Fortunately, the trail I walk my doggies on has half-mile markers all the way up and down, so I am able to keep tabs on 'how much further' we have to go each night.

On an average day, we'll walk 3 miles: 2 briskly, 1 slower but still steady.
On a good day, we'll walk 4 miles: 2 briskly, 2 slower but still steady.
On a great day, we'll walk 5.

When Beagle Ray doesn't feel like co-operating, we walk him his required 1 mile, drop him back at home, then HippieDog Hank and I head back out for a few more.
