I've pretty much stabilized in my weight loss and am happy at having shed 152lbs. I feel a lot better these days too.

1. I'm so glad you're feeling better.
You had a rough time a few months ago!! I sttarted WW in mid january and was doing well until the month of May. Just lost a pound the entire month. I'm stuck at a 28 lb loss but I'm not quitting. I've increased my physical activity and I'm staying on the plan.

3. 28lbs is great!!
That's incentive enough to keep on keepin' on. You're body is trying to decide if you're starving it or not, the weight will come off again once 'you' realize that you're eating well and getting some exercise. Way to go!

:woohoo:

2. I'm so glad you're better! Me--meh, still 5-7 pounds away from the
elusive goal which now i must hit even if i'm only there for a day, i'll be ok with a 5 pound swing but just to hit that number!!! So my total since last July is 80 pounds.

4. oh my! 80lbs is remarkable.
Those last few pounds are so elusive aren't they? It will happen for you. You've had a lot of strength and fortitude to get you to where you are now.

WELL DONE!! You should be very proud and feeling so healthy!

7. Been dealing with sinus and upper respiratory problems.
152 pounds!!! That is just wonderful! I'm glad you are feeling better too. I know that it was very rough going there for a while.

I caught a cold and after it went away I continued to have a cough which worsened to the point where I had to see a doctor, while uninsured (as I posted about in this group a while back). I missed over a week of work but eventually I started to feel better. This past few days I am again having sinus trouble and my cough is threatening a comeback. Throughout this process I gained a little weight back, mostly due to decreased activity.

I have since started using a product again which I had tremendous success with a few years ago. It's called SuperGreens and it is designed to help detoxify the body and bring up the pH of the body's fluids to a slightly base state, which is great for our health but is something that germs and other nasties don't care for much. :)

I have only been back on the products for a few days, but already I feel more energetic and I can feel a huge difference over the EXTREMELY acidic diet soda I used to drink all the time. I was 417 the day I started the Greens again - up from 404 a couple months ago - and I will be weighing myself every so often. I will keep you all posted as to how the Greens and dietary changes are working for me. I lost over 50 pounds on this stuff just before my feet went to hell and in the ensuing financial chaos I stopped using it. I should have found any way at all to keep using it rather than letting the depression I was feeling at the time be my excuse to revert to old habits.

I will keep you all posted.

9. Glad you're feeling better.
I haven't checked in in a while but I'm doing fine. 56 pounds so far...only 44 to go! Yay!
I've bought hiking sandals and am walking all over the city in comfort. I also bought some pretty sun visors, since I'm not supposed to get much sun.

the sun isn't very friendly to me either. I have roseacea and sun makes it worse.

56 pound loss is wonderful!!! You're over half way there, it can only get better. I bet you're feeling pretty darned good these days :)

I also have roseacea and they make very large brims on their visors.

My knees are very happy these days.

13. Hi aA
:) Glad to hear you're doing well and congrats, you've accomplished so much!!

I've lost approx. 14 lbs since late Feb...my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit in the last month, but now I'm working w/ a personal trainer so I hope that jumpstarts it a bit. I'm also studying exercise to look into becoming a personal trainer myself, still working on looking the part. ;)

A work in progress,

Kathleen

14. yay Kathleen!
Way to go. I think it's awesome that a personal trainer would be someone who has struggled and succeeded in losing weight herself! Your empathy for other's will be admirable.

keep up the good work!

15. my husband brought home some of his left-over lasagna lunch which he has
warmed up in the oven...so floating around the house is the smell of some good restaurant made lasagna along with the fried plantains which he also warmed up in the oven. it is opening up my hungry appetite.

in fact, i am so hungry i could go and eat the whole thing, but i haven't, and i won't.

i've been on this medical management weight loss diet since January (and have managed to lose 32.5 pounds) but now they found i have some mild anemia and they have added my vitamin intake plus added an iron pill to the vitamins i take.

i feel like telling the diet goodbye...however, being 32.5 lbs lighter is enough to keep me going along with the diet.

if only i were once again weighing the 99 lbs. i weighed when i married him! that lasagna smell is driving me crazy.

16. 32.5 lbs gone is a great accomplishment..
I know how it feels to just throw your hands up in the air and say to hell with it. Are you allowed to have regular foods on this diet? Could you have had a small serving?

regardless, take pride in your loss! You're doing great.

17. auntAgonist, earlier today i wrote a note (reply) to your post, but
i don't know what happened to it, it is not here ... but anyhow, i drank lots of water instead of eating the lasagna, went to bed, and while i am still hungry today, i don't have the cravings i had last night.

doctor t. said that if i gain five pounds--i will then put on all the weight i've already lost.
don't know what she bases the relationship between the 5 pound gain to gaining back all of the weight lost--but that is what she said.

i gotta watch it, i know. it is easy for me to put on weight.

18. I sincerely hope you don't feel deprived of the things
you liked. I'm not sure either how she comes up with that 5lb correlation. She's the professional though, I suppose she knows what she's talking about. I would lose 20lbs and regain 35  Never could keep it off, always depriving myself and ended up more unhappy than I'd ever been. Disgusted with myself and feeling like no one could ever love a fat slob. :(
It took me a long time to come to terms with putting myself down all the time and to stop doing that. I was hurting myself more than I knew. I am a totally different person now. Happier and more content with the new things in my life. The weight did matter, to me. I can't gain weight now, not like I used to and that's worth all I've been through.
Hang in there, just please, don't become depressed and get down on yourself if you have days that aren't going well. Ask your Dr if there are ways you can reward yourself when you get those cravings.

best o'luck to you

:loveya:

19. sometimes i do feel deprived of all the things i liked:
things like cheetos, kit-kats, fried plantains, etc... but, i am glad to give them up. i like the thought of asking them if there is anything i can reward myself with when i have the cravings...the way i've dealt with them is to drink water, water, water.

i know what you mean about losing 20 and gaining 35--that seems to be me and my very low ability to burn calories.

thanks for your encouragement and support. it helps and means a lot.

:)

20. anytime . and please feel free to PM me anytime you
feel like it. I KNOW how hard it is to lose and to keep weight off. I was never successful. I'm very compliant with my intake and supplements now that I've had surgery. The psychiatrist that I had to see for clearance said that I had a compliant personality and would do well. So far so good.

Ask about green tea, a little bit better than water I would think.
