For my first post here
Heres a before

And a right now

I weighed in at 237lbs in October when I started exercising.
Since then I went from a 40 waist to a 33 and weighed in yesterday at 179lbs.
I am not where I wanted to be at this time but at least I can goto the pool for the first time in 2 years.

1. Congratulations, GoPsUx!!
How did you lose the weight? Was it only by working out at the gym? Or did you incorporate some dieting as well? What type of workout have you been doing? Obviously, you were doing some arm work-- great biceps! :hi:

2. For the first 5-6 months I walked on the tread mill
first for 20 minutes a day then 40 minutes a day.
Cut out carbo's ate high protein meals ate smaller amounts 6 times a day.
Quit drinking so much beer instead Have a few glasses of wine.
Then I joined a community center gym where i started working out 3 times a week.
Now i have been slacking on my walking and my weight loss has slowed way down.
I still have a gut and love handles but they are a lot smaller now.
I am 15 - 20 lbs away from my goal.

3. What a tremendous effort!
How long did it take you to lose the weight? I admire your intense efforts. I have also been trying to cut out the carbs. I think it really helps....
