Last week in a meeting, I loaned my pen to the birthday cake person.
I still haven't received my medal for having done so. Can anyone tell me to whom I should make my appeal? I don't know why it's taking so long.

:hide: ;)

Happy Today, Friends of Bill and Bob! Hope it was a good one, and that tomorrow follows the same way!

My post-it-notes are my salvation.

And this is in sobriety!!

6. Yeah, well! I got to my meeting early on Sat and arranged all the tables and chairs
in a new way to make more space because the meeting is growing and all other people have done is complain about not having enough space, and I spent hours and hours and hours of time working on a new meeting list this past week, and mailed group donations to our district and area and world, sent in a new literature order after calling the state depot to make sure the old order is on its way, and I am doing 5 meetings a week and have a new sponsor and a new fellowship, and I am going to the state meeting this next weekend and getting trained to help with Alateen, and...

I am not yet 1000% happy all the time yet.

I GOT BUSY! Now where the f*** is BETTER*?

*Better must be accompanied by a perfectly dreamy, sexy, constantly supportive new spouse and freedom from all future fear, need, or want.

:loveya: all -

7. Did the Birthday Cake person give it back?
Edited on Tue Feb-24-09 05:34 PM by Justpat
If so, you need to step up your meetings.

If not, well, I guess no one informed you of the extraordinary rule in AA whereby the
party of the first part (Birthday Cake Person) by virtue of the special status conferred
on her/him by this awesome responsibility, has every right in the world to beg, borrow
or steal pens from the second party (you of the heroic lending abilities) without any
fear of having the second party have the nerve to ask for, demand or viciously grab the
aforementioned pen from her/his vile little hand.

I happen to know this is the truth from my very own stint as a formerly penless Birthday
Cake Person. The case went to a group conscience meeting - and I won.

So there you have it.

There are just some things in life for which there are no steps.
