1. CONGRATULATIONS!
I'm so proud of you and so happy for you. And I'm encouraged when I hear stories like this - it can happen for me, too, if I keep coming back and keep working the program. Thanks for the inspiration!

6. Congrats to you!
It is one hell of an anniversary! Just look at all the good years you have given to yourself. Good does not necessarily mean easy though, I understand. Isn't it amazing how "hard" times can be so constructive, that they are actually GREAT years?!? I can only imagine your struggle to have days that were made "worth it". Now, from all your effort, you've had many of them, and very many more to come!

I hope you have had one of your BEST days today.

7. May I ask a personal question?
After 21 years, do you still yearn for what you were addicted to?

8. Every once in awhile I do
I yearn more for the escape than the actual drug/drink though!

10. Oh, congratulations, KW!
Funny thing that posting here reminds me of - I used to drink so much while cooking (you know, a little for the chicken, a half bottle for me), I haven't done it since embarking on sobriety. I miss cooking, but it's such a trigger, and I suppose not really worth it.

11. That is funny (in the ironic sense)
I did not take up cooking until after I sobered up. Since there is no alcohol in the house, I have no idea what it is like to cook with it.
