Today is my AA birthday.
Together with my Higher Power, AA and all the good people
in it, this group especially, I've put together 26 years clean and sober.

I'm grateful.
I know that it's possible to go through anything and come out the other
side clean and sober.
This includes the death of loved ones, divorce, bankruptcy
and all the assorted speedbumps life throws at us.

Thank you to everyone here.
This group has been a lifeline to sobriety.

1. Congrats Kajsa!!
you are a shining light here you know :yourock:

and yes, it is possible to get through life's challenges without a drink or drug

in my 15+ years I've

lost my dad
lost a business
gone bankrupt (still cleaning up that wreckage LOL)

but for all those things that seemed so bad at first I've gained

a closer marriage
a beloved stepmother
a larger house in a smaller town with a much nicer lifestyle

Happy Anniversary Kaj!!

You are the light in the lighthouse, here.
;-)

This morning I woke up- I didn't come to.
That is a blessing.

I love the smilies! LOL!

And I love you, too!

3. Wow, congrats Kajsa!
I am very grateful that I have made your acquaintance here in this forum.

You and many others here have been a lifeline for me too when I can't get
to meetings or when I just need a boost and a reminder of the basics.

much love, OB

4. Thanks, Old Broad!
Your humor and insight into situations has
really helped me.

I still remember the post where we " run down the street,
coffee pots in hand with Cremora packets strapped to our chests".

:hi:

5. “No matter what.” . . .
There’s the truth of our sobriety…we need never drink again -- no matter what happens.

In sobriety, we seek our lives in moments, pray for another day, and find ourselves amazed as the years roll up. Through it all, we know that though it may occasionally be a trial, life is good, and there’s the promise it may get better. All we need do is never drink again . . . no matter what.
