Y'all

I'm not asking you to kick it or anything, just too lazy to retype it all right here. Honestly, I don't see Hillary having much of a real chance right now; the press is totally against her and the party isn't too keen, either - which is the bigger of the two problems, IMO. What's the point of getting the nom, if they won't support her candidacy?

I don't think their reasons are sexist in nature, but I do think the means of keeping her campaign down, are. I think the fact that she is where she is right now, in spite of all the opposition, speaks to shout what *utter fools* the DC contingent-types are. Had she been getting equal support, I have no doubt she'd have the nomination wrapped up by now.

1. I think the voters will have something to say about that.

About half the voters have supported her thus far and there is a bit more of primary season to go. We are fighting the same machine that gave us George W., except the fascist elite in the Democrat party have joined in.

My thoughts exactly. The Democrats in Washington have joined forces with the rethugs. Hillary has stayed in the race regardless of O getting all the press, SDs not abiding by the will of the people, and Stupid people like KO trying to force her into dropping out.

4. They want Obama because he'll be their puppet. An unqualified
inexperienced freshman senator that they've installed in the WH will owe them & be their puppet, but you can bet your ass Hillary wouldn't.

6. Those Are My Fears, Exactly
With the lack of DC and int'l experience, BO is going to be dependent on advisers, moreso than Hil.

8. I just did it. (k and r)
On your question, the reason the party isn't too keen IS primarily the press. In defiance of history, most DC politicians think somehow it'll be different this time.

The Clintons seem to be hated for the very fact that Bill is the ONLY Democrat to be re-elected for two full terms since FDR. Their supposed ability to sling the mud back is actually an advantage when you're up against all those establishment tricks, IMO. Why don't the party's decision-makers see this?

The best thing Barack has going for him, I think, is the fact that a candidate's optimism seems to overcome almost every other quality in a presidential race. Bill Clinton has it, GWBush was able to fake it for the length of the campaign. Reagan had it. JFK radiated it, and Eisenhower's sunny disposition made him a "natural." (That's as far back as _my_ political memory goes.) I don't know if it'll work this time, however, because: 1) the stump speeches where he projects it are otherwise pretty content free. 2) The media machine is so perfected now. If the MSM subtly frames it as Obama's optimism vs. McCain's patriotism, what'll happen?

Sorry for this side expedition into analysis. I still hope Hillary can pull out a victory. And I also wish we could have a do-over of the whole campaign up to now, with those press voices fading into the background--or farther! Actually if voter choice is important in the nomination, why not a nationwide primary before _any_ of the seven or so major candidates drop out? This would give the "journalists" and pundits only one shot at slanting opinion.

Oh well. Thanks so much for your brave posts, Crisco.

9. I think it has everything to do with sexism. The bias is full of it. The Dem party
is going to have some rude awakenings after this I think.

They've taken women's votes for granted, the biggest bloc of the party.

I'm very angry.

At a minimum, they have stood by and allowed the media and Obama campaign to do this, and defame one of our great presidents too.

I take that back, they have helped.
