early spring progress
Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 05:35 PM by welshTerrier2
today's ride felt really good although i'm a little wiped out now ...

I was able to add about 25% more distance and a bit more speed to my ride today ... i've got a long way to go to get back in shape but today marked some very definite progress ...

I'm giving some thought to a longer, slower ride ... today was something of a "frantic hammer" but it felt really good ...

oh, and the secret ingredient before riding today: Ben&Jerry's Fudge Brownie ... that can't be what they meant by carbo-loading, can it ???

1. I'll vouch for long, slow rides
That's all I do. :-)

We rode in an organized event last Saturday and did the 36-mile route. Took us 4 hours 15 minutes. We were finishing in the same time that
people who did the 62-mile route were, but still felt great.
