I want to tell you all about a dream I had...
Edited on Tue Jun-12-07 11:16 PM by TOhioLiberal
...First a little background:
My best friend Lesley, passed away from cancer on April 26, 2007. Cancer is a particularly ugly way to die, and at the end she was unconscious. I have felt like I didn't really get to say goodbye.

In my dream, Lesley, my husband and I were walking down a road. My husband was guiding Lesley, because she was blind (in real life also) Whenever the three of us went somewhere he always guided her. He looked back at me and told me to guide Lesley because he wanted to go up ahead to look for a place to rest. I had Lesley holding my arm like she used to. I stopped and gave her a big hug and said 'I miss you, girl' She said 'I know. don't worry everything's going to be okay.'

I woke up with tears on my cheeks and such a feeling of peace. I just wanted to share it.

1. You had a special 'visit' from your friend.
Dreams are a wonderful way to reconnect with loved ones. Hopefully there will be more to come as she has really never left you.

3. Lesley sent you Peace.
There's no other explanation for the dream, to my mind. Connections of love have no end. My daughter had a dream quite like yours after my son, her brother, died. In the dream he said to her, "See, sometimes dreams really do come true."

Thank you for sharing.

4. She came to you so you could say goodbye.
In my business, we call that "Grace."

Blessings and peace to you.

6. This is a very moving story.
Thank you so much for sharing it. I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's passing.

I do believe that we get these "visits" in our dreams. Right after my grandmother passed away, my mom and I had the same dream on the same night that she was telling us that she was in a better place and that we shouldn't be sad. She even said in my dream, "I went so quickly!" And that was weird (and comforting in a way) because she had had cancer for seven years and had been very sick for the past three.

Thanks again for sharing this. :grouphug:
