Today is two years since my Dad died and he would have
loved to see this day. The day when Rick Santorum's sorry ass was booted out of the Pennsylvania my Dad loved.

I know I have told this story before, but my Dad was such a proud Democrat. He had his Kerry/Edwards button on his hospital gown. When his oncologist came to check on his lucidity the day after the election in 2004, she asked him who won. He said, "Dumbo". She kept trying to get him to say Bush's name and he wouldn't do it. He always referred to him as Dumbo, lol.

Thanks for giving me my passion for politics Dad. I will make you proud.

1. Hugs to you
And here's to your dad, who's smiling on us all. That's really a great story about Dumbo. :D

5. We are the fruit of out family trees. I love your story about your dad
Can't help but think those who have gone on have sustained us in the fight to restore America.

I would have liked to meet your dad. Bet he was a hoot.

7. He was a character. He loved people
He tended bar (moon-lighted) for six years in addition to his day job as a U.S. Steelworker. He was the type of guy who walked into a room full of people and left knowing everyone.

8. It is true that he never called Bush his name
Whenever we talked about politics, he always referred to him as Dumbo.
