I Did Have A Heart Attack
It has been quite a ride a ride the past few months. I had an angiogram last Friday and for a change I got good news. There is no blockage in my heart. It was nice to hear some good news. I know I only use 43% of my heart and no one has a clue as to how many silent heart attacks I had. I kept telling doctors my neuropathy was getting worse and they kept saying my diabetes has been under control. they were quite surprised.

2. I am feeling ok
I was shocked to find out I had a heart attack. I tire easily these days but I am getting older and I walk five miles a day. I always thought you would know if you were having a heart attack but you don't. Neuropathy kills nerve cell endings and I guess enough are dead that my pain sensation is deadened.

3. It's not just that, women often have atypical symptoms
some of which are as vague as a sense of foreboding, an upset stomach, or a pulsating pain in the back that twinges for a few seconds and then goes away.

None of it is specific enough to send us to cardiologists before the heart attack, it's always one of those "oh, so that's what that was!" things that happens after the fact.

4. And diabetics at times have silent heart attacks anyway
when dad had his open heart, cabbage... they found the tip had all the sings of one.
