1. Flareup = fever, nausea and fatigue
When I was much younger, it seemed like every other month was a flareup. My 20s were relatively level as far as my RA, but my 30s everything came to a full roar. If it wasn't RA, my Sjogren's was flaring up to the point I was homebound. Now I have tested positive for Lupus but am awaiting a confirmation (I have had false positive before). Right now I have inflammation of the breastbone due to Sjogren's and all I want to do is curl up and cry (oh wait, my eyes don't produce any significant tears so that won't do much good, lol). Take it a day at a time and try to keep a sense of humor......

3. Have you looked into Low Dose Naltrexone for autoimmune
disease? I use LDN for Crohn's Disease and it, along with the Specific Carbohydrate Diet have put me in remission. I had been on the SCD for several years before I found LDN. Low Dose Naltrexone really gave my health and well being a boost. Plus, it's cheap because it is out of patent.

For flare ups I recommend eating easy to digest foods, bone broth soups and such. Are you taking acidophilus or other probiotic supplements? It is recommended that when you have to take antibiotics that you should take a probiotic 2 hours apart from your antibiotic, to help re-populate your gut with the good bacteria.

I hope you get to feeling better. Here are 2 links:
