Ouch-my head hurts. (sorta bad poetry/rant)
Coming off corticosteroids, feeling like my field of vision is getting squeezed to the center
of reality- knowing that the pain in my temples is temporary
knowing that this is a return to normal
back to seeing things more clearly, tasting food more- wanting food.
Fluid going down my throat, more gatorade. Stay hydrated, don't create a scene, don't go back to the ER,
try not to scream

As the tired girl stares at the screen
wanting to stop writing, yet the words want to be seen.
Twist the face now, into a vast mass of atomic brain
That will make you feel insane. It's back to the norm
back to this reality, this migraneur's ball
where the head may pound and there's no end to the hall
and go on stumbling for the exit of this day
in the bed where sleepy thoughts play.
(For the last week, they've stayed away.)

such a day.

1. If you've got a headache coming off steroids
you may be tapering them too fast, and that can be dangerous.

Call your doc.

2. I was only on them for 5 days...
from a medrol steroid pack...it's self tapering. I'm just SO sensitive to the effects of some medications, and I suppose that's what happened here. The headache went away after some good sleep.

Thanks for the concern though!
