January was an (ahem) interesting month for the KOEB.

Nerves were frazzled almost to the breaking point for many DUers; we all were waiting for news of the election fraud to break bigtime in the media.

Some handled the stress better than others. The KOEB found release through the nightly live blog threads, while elsewhere great performances worthy of nomination for the DUDQ abounded. Our "home" forum grew increasingly impatient, and we ended up relocating in the "witness protection program" of GD for awhile.

I'm kinda slow at it today because I'm reading the threads in GD that I never read before, and following links to other threads within them.

I do have all the main threads bookmarked already, I just was never quite sure when (and where) y'all went to discuss the tie-buying!

If you are reading the other months - November and December - could you/would you please note in a reply to any post where I missed somebody's first dip in the drool pool of the KOEB? (I know I've probably missed things all over the place!)

18. We went to the Lounge to discuss it over a weekend.

And somewhere in there we took a poll Shopaholic set up. It may begin in the thread from 1/14 (I have that one bookmarked). Also, on a tangent, there were the "KOEB is read on Stephanie Miller" threads. :)

I'll go re-read some of those later, they should be a hoot. Also, I really laughed going through my bookmarks when I noticed that on the night first wore the tie, we needed an "overflow" thread. :crazy:

and that's where Sparky very consolingly set us up with some drinks and became our bartender. From tiny acorns do mighty oaks grow. (Okay, he was chortling behind his 'stache at our consternation, but he still made some damned fine drinks and he's our Sparky, so we let him laugh at us.)
