2. Hi Sharon!
The lunatics are running the show & God help the people in the Middle East because the wars there are going to continue.

So you get to be a "body person?" Sounds like fun!!

:hi:

David Van Os is coming to my hometown tomorrow. Kinda cool lining up the media to be there to cover it. :)

Keith--just the right amount of solids & stripes & a dark suit too! :loveya:

And let me go on record as saying: Mel Gibson? SO NOT ON MY HOTTIE LIST ANYMORE!!!!!!!! Anti-semitic & sexist pig! If he wasn't thinking those things, he would not have said them!

5. Yup -- I get to be a body person
Edited on Mon Jul-31-06 07:18 PM by SharonRB
What's funny is that five minutes before Kevin called me to see if I could do this, I had been IM'ing with Nancy's Internet intern and she mentioned the term and I asked her what it meant because I had never heard it before. So, one minute I don't know what it is, and the next minute, I are one!

I just hope they have good security at the JCC.

Binky keeps meowing when I ask her if she's OK with getting a little brother. A good meow. The same meow she gives me when I ask her "do you love me, Binky?"

Meet C.C.

Domestic Short Hair,Tabby - Orange

Size: Medium
Age: Young
Sex: Male
ID: n/a

Notes: Hi! I'm C.C. I was found in a chicken coop looking for food (hence the name). Fortunately, the chickens ratted me out and I was rescued and placed in a foster home by Cats Anonymous volunteers. I'm a great little guy, a social butterfly who loves meeting and playing with new cats. I've got an unusual "paternal instinct" and almost act like a mom to the new fosters at my foster home. My foster brother 9 Lives and I are really close buddies and would love to go to a new home together. I have the cutest little green eyes--one look and you'll fall for me completely.

Age: Baby
Sex: Male

Notes: My name is 9 Lives...but I think have about 8 left. I got my head stuck in a hole once. Luckily, they greased me up with butter and I slid right out. I can be a bit stand-off-ish at first, but when you pet me you'll find out I'm just a big lover. I'm gonna be a big boy someday, you can tell when you pick me up. My best friend is my foster brother C.C. We'd love to go to a new home together.

How to introduce a new pet to your family/other pets. It makes it sound like a big production. And there will be times when I will have to be away, and cannot supervise. Their "advice" is scaring me off.

80. Don't get too freaked.
I had to introduce Bella into Harley's world many moons ago. Bella walked in like she just owned the place. Harley was not too happy. But eventually they got used to each other. Of course, Bella's the alpha cat so she'd just as soon have Harley gone, but Harley isn't completely passive and can give her a smack when required. She knows she was here first and likes to remind Bella of it sometimes.

90. It's really not so bad
keeping the new ones isolated so they get adapted to their new environment & the older ones get used to their smell. Their noses are going to be out of joint no matter what you do. It's better for kittens (in my most recent experience) to get used to being in one room & having that be their "Safety spot", while getting used to you as the source of love & of course, food. :)

Enjoy your new babies!!!

Oreo is convinced the guest room is hers; and Binky hangs out in the office closet. Perhaps the 2 little guys could have the run of the rest of the house?

I just filled out the adoption application. Crossing all my fingers and toes that this is meant to be. :)

(my dad just said to me "it sounds like it's going to happen. If that's what makes you happy, then go for it." I :loveya: my dad!)

Edited on Mon Jul-31-06 11:37 PM by CC
and now no insulation or inside walls, suppose to hit 100 plus tomorrow. We are doing insulation tomorrow. lol So popped on to say hi and with a name like CC (which covers Ferretessa but also Craig Crawford.) that kitty is destined to be yours. You know if you take 9 Lives too you could call him KO and not be too overboard.
I have always just thrown in the newbies with the oldies and let them figure out the pecking order. Of course I have a male Siamese that would of been a great mother and loves baby anythings. Any problems and you have me, the EDV's, the pet group, the lounge and the rescue org. to offer help and advice. And :loveya: to Papa O.

Is great to see Keith back, though I must say had I gotten his bag accidently on purpose he would of had to do dinner to get it back. Least I could do with an apology is feed the man. And yes at least one tie and white pants would of been missing.

Off to bed, long hot day tomorrow.

BTW God, do we need some real Grown Ups at work right now. I get more and more
pissed every time I see bush and company.

in 1978 Carter got Camp David
in 1982 Reagen called Israel and asked them to stop going into Lebanon and they did
in 1998 Clinton called Assad of Syria and asked them to stop Hezbellah's rockets and
the rockets were stopped.

Condi is told not to show up in Lebanon ..... then lies about it.
<Infuriated Lebanese officials said they had asked Rice to postpone the visit after Israel's
missile strike. But Rice said she called Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora to say she
would postpone the trip, and that she had work to do in Jerusalem to end the fighting.>

Kinda like when you dump somebody and then they say, "No I dumped you."

Guess that cease fire that bush & Rice rejected 2 weeks ago looks good right now.

But she did the piano piece!

as in her being boss of my boss at a previous job, is supposedly working for Condi now, or intended to. If she can get her own language skills up. Word is she's having trouble.

No wonder Condi can't speak Russian, her teacher's still trying to learn it.

Just kidding, but there is a Mindy Weiss in LA who is a party planner.

Click on the page "about team" and take your pick as to who YOU think the guilty party was! (Warning, KO, they're all attractive women. Had you met her in person, you might have asked her out!)

Wow, Tucker is tan after all that time in the Middle East.

78. I can't believe Katie Couric
demanded & got into the cockpit to ask the pilot to "wait" for her producer & the airline says it's a common occurance. YEAH RIGHT!! Tell that to my cousin who missed her connection in LAX because of the airline's own delay & was refused boarding on her connecting flight even though the flight was still boarding & there were open seats on the plane! all because they hadn't gotten to the gate 15 minutes prior because the first flight took off late! :grr:

I bet if it had been Miss Katie Nobody, she would have been shot by the airmarshalls.

86. Probably.
I once had to really raise a fuss about an airline not wanting me to board and telling me it was too late when they got me entirely mixed up at the airport with all that "gate sharing" crap they were doing with another airline. It was all I could do to figure out WHICH plane I should be getting on at WHICH gate based on my boarding pass--people at the one airline would send me to the other gate and vice versa--and then I finally get someone who tells me the right gate and they're not about to let me on because they're ready to leave! Hello!?! Maybe if you guys didn't keep sending me back and forth between gates trying to figure out where I was supposed to be, I could have boarded on time?!? Luckily they let me on. Sheesh.

And for the record, I never take other people's suitcases by accident. And if I did, I sure as heck would return it in person and apologize.

88. I had my bag go walkabout in Edinburgh
at the same time, some other woman's bag also went missing. Fortunately, they tracked down who had it & got her on the phone. When she not so politely informed the attendant she was NOT going to return to the airport & switch the bags since "they could simply pick up the other person's bag when mine is dropped off," the attendant very politely informed her she'd better bring it back or he'd call the police. :)

My bag eventually got to me. This, after we were charged £25 for "excess weight." :grr:

93. Hi Sha-sha, got your package today.
I've definitely got two of those galleries on my radar already and I'm checking out some of the others.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness in sending the listing to me, it was most helpful.

On the other hand, I had to miss KO's return tonight. I'll read and catch up. Did he talk about Mel?
Randi was a scream talking about Mel the Drunken Skinhead today. 'he asks the officer if he's a Jew, did he ask his lawyer if he's Irish.'

Sorry we missed you last night -- I won't be around tonight (gotta escort Nancy to a ZOA event at the JCC). Which two are on your radar already? I'm glad it's helpful. (Of course, I've got selfish motives -- I want you to come here for a visit!)

Randi was pretty funny yesterday, as usual.
