35. OK, I'm here, even if late, you can leave the singing to Eric Carmen
or Celine Dion, or Il Divo or whoever...

Anyway, I'm demanding my rightful recognition for having predicted Keith went back to Tampa again. But boy, am I glad to be wrong about thinking this time he might not make it a working vacation.

Keith, there just ain't enough love in the world for ya, honey. :loveya:

Thanks for the earworm. x(

It's Local News Edition Keith! :)

As for what happened in Judiciary today re: the exemption for humanitarian aid, thank the Sisters of Mercy who, among others, have been calling their senators & urging others to call on their behalf, to get the incredibly non-Christian portions of the House Bill taken out.

"Hello, Senator Box turtle's office. This is DG, calling on behalf of the Sisters of Mercy."

We were told that some senator's office called the Washington office of the Sisters & asked "Just how many of you ARE there?" because that office had received almost 6K calls.

17. What was his amendment?
I can't believe they're seriously considering rounding up 11 million people and sending them back to where they came from.

I agree we need some controls, but my goodness, have a little empathy for the people who have been here and have been working and contributing to our society. They absolutely need some kind of amnesty program where these people can become legal. They need to crack down on the employers.

32. My fave is when the pro folks start saying things like
"They take our jobs but don't pay taxes!"

(1) The jobs illegals take are, in fact, jobs Americans wouldn't want &
(2) They ARE paying taxes. If they own property here, they pay property taxes. If they rent, property tax is included in the rent. They pay the gas taxes when they fill up their cars. And if they buy stuff in the stores, they pay sales tax.

21. Hi Sharon
I was trying to watch tonight but I have that horrible, inexplicable, interruption of service only on my MSNBC channel again. I couldn't tweak it like I did last time and so I have the cable person scheduled for Wednesday morning. Problem is, Chris Matthews and Rita Cosby come in clear with no problem before and after KO and no other channel has this problem. It is beginning to look like Fox news /O'Reilly sabotage (said in my best Bugs Bunny voice). I'll bet I will get the midnight rerun with no problem. Is this too paranoid, I feel like calling someone else in town with my cable provider and seeing if they are having trouble with their reception on Channel 37. Anyway, I am having a new cable box brought over on the off chance that a new box will fix the reception on one channel.

I am sooooooooo frustrated, I hadn't realized how much I depend on Keith to be the only one on television to give me the news truthfully. I guess I'll just read the thread to find out what he talked about. In the midst of the interruptions I could see he had Howard Fineman on to talk about the immigration story, and Mrs. Greenspan (still can't believe the conflict of interest there) reporting on the Downing Street memo that has finally made it to the MSM. At least they didn't have Dana Milbank, who was so dismissive of Conyers first attempts to reveal the memo last year on to report about it.

Sorry for the rant, Hi everyone.

I know its a new Downing Street Memo, but it is one of several that have been uncovered or leaked and only the first one the MSM has been willing to report.

Did KO cover the story about KKKarl 'co-operating' with Fitz and helping 'find' all those missing WH emails? Now that's a story with POtential. Larissa called Stephanie this morning with that juicy tidbit. Did you hear it?

92. veeeeery interesting about Card, especially since the rumor is on again
that Fitz will indict either the Pillsbury Roveboy or Hadley soon, or both, could Card's resignation at this time have anything to do with that? What's the next big holiday we can rename, 'Fitz of July', except I don't think I can stand to wait that long.

I'm feeling so jumpy lately, whenever it seems like these crooks are going to be held to account I can't help worrying about what they would be willing to do to prevent that from happening.

How's by you doll. I sure hope my KO reception problem gets fixed tomorrow morning.

But I'll have to try to see it when there's no work and no Keith on...

Oh, I just realized something I had forgotten about for a week.

Uh, Keith wore a new tie last Monday.

It wasn't one of ours.

Or was it really new?

And of course, we know that he takes only two suits, two shirts and one tie to Tampa with him. LOL. So don't expect to see 'em this week!

on edit: Bill, you seem to be somewhat confused. While missing Keith is a shame, it is not a mortal sin. However, the thoughts some of us have when watching Keith probably are.

on double edit: Did anyone see TUCKER CARLSON is at the unclaimed baggage store tonight? What IS it with this story that everyone has to cover it all of a sudden?

64. That would be Pixel in
the first two and Peach in the second two. I only know because I didn't take pics until their second baths. They deserved to wait longer.

67. Naughty ferrets!
Just for their bad behavior, they deserve to have their dignity taken away from them by having a pic snapped!

Pixel musta been cold... I was going by noses first, then coloring.

So tell me, how many of the critters currently live with you?

70. We are down to the 8 ferrets, 5 cats,
4 dogs and 2 birds. I wanted to not bring down the thread but lost Jazzy Dec. 22 to unknown causes. Vet couldn't figure it out so figure she went to keep Gizmo company. Stormy has been gone for 2.5 years and of course lost Gizmo last summer. Downside to ferrets, short life span. Course I have Harley that has another 60 years left to his life span and needs to be left to someone in our will. The again they all are just in case.

72. I'm so sorry to hear about Jazzy!
But I love the idea of going to keep Gizmo company. Poor Roo - now he has two ferrets to contend with, and my mom has lots and lots of questions about their unique friendship! :)

73. And we can't forget
Blue that got everything ready for them. I almost said your mom would have some questions for you one day but I sincerely believe that they know all the answers now and are just watching over those they love, wishing them happy.

Of course, Blue Doggie was the one who prepared the way... and despite all the sadness, just look at all the blessings that came Lara's way since then!

77. I know and it has been so
heartwarming to watch them turn around and how happy she is now. It should give (does me) everyone hope for the future and the knowledge that no matter how bad things get it can turn around.

heartwarming...went through a few words but that one fit best.

80. It is time for me to say
good night as the siding guys will be hammering on my bedroom walls at 7 am, like this morning. Least they start on this side so they will be finished this side first.

81. It's a shame they don't make critter earplugs,
for just such an occasion as this one. If that happened here, Binky would be under the bed, and wouldn't come out except to pee.

G'nite, Ferrettessa! :hug::loveya:

76. You can never watch 'Five Million Years to Earth' too many times!
I watch it every time it comes on, which is'nt very often. My favorite part is when people are pursued by visions of ants and a demon wind that kills them.

there are certain movies I can't pass up watching if I see that they are on. I happened to love alot of '50's and 60's SciFi movies.

This happens to be one of them.

Anderson Cooper 360 has a piece on this guy who performs exorcisms. This woman claims she's been possessed 4 times! How'd you like to have her for a neighbor.

Sounds more like someone who avoids taking personal responsibility to me. Wasn't it Geraldine Jones (Flip Wilson) who used to say "The devil made me do it!"? Bah!

Anyway, nice to see you Ferrettessa, and all the ferret torture! I conduct cat torture myself...it's called "brushing out the mats"!

66. Hi Berry
I am lucky on the cats, they love to be brushed with the shedding blade. But then I am beginning to think I have strange cats, they like being brushed, sleep with me until I wake up and just all around behave.

82. Pulled a mean trick on my furball tonight.
I waited until his backside was about to sneak out his catdoor and then threw two magazines on this pile of recycling which was on the floor near the door. That's the fastest his rear end ever went through his catdoor!

69. I saw parts of Matt Lauer's interview with Michael Schiavo.
And I must say, his questions were simplistic and bland, compared to Keith's. Floaty hearts aside, Keith is clearly the superior interviewer.

I've had workmen in my house this past weekend. Got everything done but the cleanup last night. Now I have the fun job of deciding what colors I want to paint my bedroom. And then, oy, the floor!

95. I'm actually happy to have them
starting, but would really rather the windows were here so they could work on through. Spent all day yesterday fighting about when the would get here after paying extra to have them here last Friday. Not going to get them sooner so now the fight is over getting reimbursed for the extra, since they are coming at the regular time. I will not accept it is the makers fault. It has gotten to where I called corporate and so far have 1 gift certificate for being on hold too long. The work around is they are doing the rough opening and leaving the plywood and tyvek over them until the windows come. So far time wise I will still be able to insulate and drywall before the heat of summer. At least the siding guys that were going to pop in the windows for free aren't too upset, even if it throws them off.
