Al & Keith! That was a wonderful interview.
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 01:05 PM by Patsy Stone
All the Falafelmort bashing you could want, from two men who have met the beast head on -- and given him a wedgie.

I hope they will archive it somewhere. For Keith's "Borg assimilation" reference alone: :loveya:

1. yeah, that was good.
I could have listened to an hours' worth of them unpicking Bill's psyche, but they would have needed hip-waders for that. :hi:

2. Too funny.
He really is demented, you know? Every time I hear that tape, where he's so happy to be able to send "Fox Security" out after his listeners, I'm freshly amazed he's still out on the streets and on the airwaves unmedicated.

4.  "Anybody who confuses a loofah with a falafel has some serious issues "
That and O'Reilly saying he was in combat and won a national punting title. I was about to pee myself those two are so funny. :)

6. heck, it's all funny
even the way he says, "O'Reilly is an idiot" in such a matter-of-fact, good-natured way. I've heard him do that a couple of times now and he gets a big laugh every time. If he said it in anger, it wouldn't be nearly so funny.

13. I, on the other hand, represented the United States in international
competition. Yes, that is an exaggeration. I wrestled in Bulgaria representing my state in a cultural exchange. But, if there is one thing that Bill O'Reilly has taught me, mental disease can make you a legend in your own mind.

Next up, I will be winning a national punting title. :silly:

Al actually looks pretty stocky. I bet he's fairly strong. I love the story in his book when he challenged Rich Lowry to a fight because he said Dems have sissified politics, haha.

16. hell I was like a monk then
other than a few drinks here and there anyway. A few women from time to time...

Two vices is still pretty good.. I think... :)

Psh, I wish I was dating my way through Europe. Years later I'm thinking.... hmmmmmm... why the hell was I so serious about winning all the time back then? haha

The moral of the story is, being good isn't all it's cracked up to be and never mess with Al Franken. :)

Notice how I deftly exaggerated my "family values" credential there. Monk-like, just like Bill O'Reilly on the phone. :)

me, I've been ear-wormed by "O Die Frauen" ever since he mentioned the monks. ("I’d been long a monk in cloister, Were it not for women!") Can someone please come up with something to get caterwauling tenors out of my head?

27. No, but I've seen a hell of a lot of people skating to it.
I can never stop thinking of my own lyrics for it. "Moldy cream cheese..."

Anyway, Keith and Al were indeed fine. And when Keith said the line about someone he knew at Fox not yet having been "assimilated into the Borg"...ah, that was GREAT.

29. the Washington Ballet did it with the National Symphony Orchestra
back in 2000. They dressed the choir up in monks robes and put us up on scaffolding around the stage so the dancers would have room to do their thing. Boy, was that scaffolding rickety. Four of the women in the choir got pregnant while we were doing Carmina Burana; coincidence?
