KO, I don't know what speech you were watching but I think Gore was a great speaker today, not just good, GREAT.
Otherwise I still love you Keef.

I didn't see the awkward moments when Bob Barr's feed wouldn't work and Al sat there waiting but I saw the speech almost in it's entirety. Gore was not strident at all, he was eloquent, intelligent and firey when he needed to be.

Gore's speech on C-Span at 8 pm my time, that might be where some are who didn't catch the speech live. I'm tempted to watch it again but I'm going to get the DVD and the mp3 and start sending it to people. While I was trying to switch to CSPAN it got stuck on Faux News and I actually had to listen to Alberto Gonzales telling me it's perfectly fine for the Pretzeldent to spy in on the American people's conversations because he has taken an oath to "protect" them! 71. I read the speech before I saw the clip on KO's show.

I actually think it comes across better written than spoken. Al does too much hand-waving, and I found that distracting. Still, it was powerful stuff and kudos to him for standing up and publicly saying that the emperor has no clothes. I hope something comes of it.
