Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know,
His house is in the village though.
He will not see me stopping here,
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer,
To stop without a farmhouse near,
Between the woods and frozen lake,
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake,
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep,
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

-- Robert Frost

What time does your flight leave NY on Monday? I'm getting ready to book and will try to coordinate. The flight I'm looking at leaves about 12:30. I hate to wait until the 4:00. I'd love to hsve more time in NY, but hate to get home that late.

won't be able to share a ride the LGA on Monday, then. Maybe someone else will be leaving at about the same time. I'm going to go ahead and book the 12:30, then.

93. Yes and yes. Aslan was very well done.
As were Mr. Tumnus, the White Witch, and all four kids.

Some of the White Witch's army were a little too much like guys in rubber masks, but that is my only complaint aside from some scenes being a wee bit over-scored.

136. I second bleev's vote
I really liked it. The kids did a good job, and Aslan was great. I'm not sure this should be getting quite so much press as a "religious" movie. Yes, it's an allegory, but not a heavy-handed one. I saw it more as a straightforward good vs. evil fantasy flick. If you didn't know about C.S. Lewis and his other writings, you might not necessarily see Christian messages in it. Sacrificing oneself for others and rebirth are not messages unique to Christianity -- although there may be some Christians who believe that to be the case.

"Stanch" is "stanch," "staunch" is "staunch."

And Keith has obviously worked hard to avoid having an accent. He's hilarious when he does imitations of "New Yawkers" on Dan Patrick's show, though. He knows how to do all the accents.

And yet so simple.

by rerunning the robot feature for the umpteenth time...

I get the feeling Keith would love to have a robot write and deliver his #1 story every night so he didn't have to do it. :-)

And aw man, Keith, did you HAVE to go remind me of that creepy PSA from the late '60s that asked if we didn't become physically active, "by the year 2000, will automation and machines do away with our bodies?" The guy with his disembodied head in a box, waiting for robots to come and carry it someplace else...and waiting, and waiting...and nobody came...

Yes, I remember it all too well...it used to CREEP ME OUT! :scared: It figures Keith would remember it too...he remembers everything else I've ever seen on television!

I don't think we ever narrowed down the male species. The focus previously had been on the Brigade.

But I still maintain that for the gay males, a TDV is more appropriate. Or perhaps an EDF. :)

128. Hi Everyone.
I was able to fiddle with my knobs (yes I know how that sounded)and get my cable box to receive KO again, thank Gawd. Didn't want to wade through construction debris to post during the show though.

Some passing comments on tonights show.

I will clean your kitchen for free Keef.
I love it that Falafalhead is worst person in the world every week now. Keith's dedication to the cause of poking holes in that blowhard, lobotoloofah's pinhead is a pleasure to behold.

I love it when Keith refers to the Preznit as Mr. Bush, which he did repeatedly this evening. You can tell he really means it, is as disgusted as the rest of us, and yearns for him to lose his present title of His Fraudulency just as much as I do.

He complimented Tilda Swinton, one classy actress, and of course he is one classy guy. If I see Narnia it will not be because of the talking Christian lion but because I hear Swinton's snow queen is supposed to be phenomenal.

I really hoped Countdown would've had Jim Vanderhei on to talk about his little 'error' last night but that was not to be expected. They must be keeping 'pool boy' as he is referred to over at firedoglake under wraps for now, no more teevee for you Jim. Jimmy wants to leak. Jimmy knows something you don't know. Whatever.

The story about the soldier being shipped home as freight was so important to cover and Keith handled it with his usual grace as did the father of the young man. When will this all end? It is utter madness.

I'll try and post real time tomorrow. Nighty night. Let's hope there are indictments in time for Christmas and Channukah (I'll take one for each night).

:loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: Floaties to all.
