And when you say Thursday night, do you really mean Friday early morning?

Things are much better between him and I now (relationship wise).
I'm glad I kept my pissed-offness from Valentine's Day to myself (or at least on the KOEB). Venting on him probably wouldn't have helped the situation. Besides it's not his fault his Dad was sick and none of us really believed he would die.

Yesterday was the funeral - very late for a Jewish funeral but they're not religious at all. Dan was grateful that I stepped up and welcomed guests for the family. They weren't in a social mood understandably. So I stepped in to "entertain" welcoming guests in, taking coats, showing them around, introducing people and such.

His mom freaked out at the end of the night when everybody left. She wanted to throw out all the food and gift baskets because they were funeral food. We gave a lot of it to the lady they hired to help cater and hid what we could in the fridge and the basement. At least we had one good laugh - Dan his brother and I were hiding bagels around the house and feeding the dog people food.

Thank god it's over! Funerals suck!
I'm not looking forward to the day I have to bury my parents.

13. your boyfriend will always remember and appreciate what

you did for him at and after the funeral, no matter what happens with your relationship. And yes, funerals do suck. Sometimes they do uplift the mourners, but all too often they're a gauntlet for the bereaved, just one more thing to endure when you already have too much to process and can't take anything more and the last thing you need are all these people (some of them strangers and some of whom you wish were strangers) with their own thoughts and feelings crowding at you and all you want is for everything to just stop long enough for you to catch your breath.

I hope the dog didn't get sick on the people food and that you remember where you hid the bagels. Finding fuzzy bagels in the couch isn't going to make your potential future mother-in-law very happy!

And all my admiration to YOU for the way you took the social burden onto yourself at the funeral. I agree with gk that he'll never forget you for the kindness and strength you showed in doing that.

I've seen Carson ONCE, and that was because I got up to pee, and couldn't fall back to sleep. Hello clicker :)

Wish they'd repeat him early the next day on CNBC like they do Conan. I'd much rather watch Carson than Miller's repuke show.

While I'm bitchin', why can't they repeat SNL on CNBC. They let the Trumpster repeat the freakin' Apprentice shows ad nauseum on that channel. ((I'm hooked on Apprentice, but once is enough!))

When I first started paying attention to KO, I described him as the TV newsman with the beautiful voice and the TWINKLY EYES. Only they hadn't been twinkling very much of late. It was a sorrow to me.

But last night they were twinkling like mad! I hope the twinkle was his natural one and not arising from any medication the docs put him on for that earlier-in-the-week problem.

I'll be watching for the twinkle tonite, when he's being tortured by Gidget.
