Unless you mean on Countdown specifically...are there crawls on Countdown?

2. I like 'em because

I can read them when the talking head is boring or doing the same ole schtik I've heard before...

It's like channel surfing without a remote. :)

4. I'd like them better if...

...they weren't chopped off by the bottom of my screen. Somehow our TV is nonstandard or something.

What I hate is the stuff they put above them (the "Bush: worst disaster to ever hit the U.S." part.) They should make that area about half as high. It's always in the way.

6. If you hate them - do what I did.

Cut out a strip of black construction paper about 2" wide and long enough to fit across the bottom of your TV screen. Put 3 scotch tape loops on the reverse and secure the banner to your TV so that you dont see the crawls. Voila!
