Ain't no drag...Keith's got a brand-new bag. (In other words, David Shuster evaded us.)
Award-winning journalist Keith Olbermann joins MLBAM

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20090421&content_id=4369802&vkey=pr_mlbcom&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

So, he will now not only be sharing his Countdown time in the fall and winter with football, but his spring and summer time with baseball...professionally and officially.

I'm happy for him...I just wonder how much we're going to see of David Shuster from now on.

Oh, and he was covering for Keith last night. This makes it all too clear where he was: back at a certain stadium, enjoying a certain game with a certain nephew (and She Who Must Not Be Named):

Time to tweet him back:

Pats: David, you lied about Keith last night.

David: Did not.

Pats: You said it was flu and allergy season.

David: Yes, but it's also BASEBALL season.

Pats: We know.

David: And I never SAID Keith was sick.

Pats: We know. But it was what you wanted us to think.

David: From now on, no more tweets. Every time you KOEB'ers see me on Countdown, just think BASEBALL. It'll do.

Pats: I'm sure it will.

1. Firstly...
I've never tweeted in my life. (I've warbled a few times, but I was drunk.)

However, if I were to begin, I'd certainly mention his ugly-ass ties.

Secondly, how dare he lie to his trusting followers?! Twitter should be all a-twitter about his deceptive tweets! Da nerve!

And thirdly, now, really, did anyone need to see that Katy footage.

Good for you, KO! Paid, once again, to watch baseball. It's lovely that he's donating his salary to those charities. :loveya:

2. So YOU were lying to us?
Shame on you. :spank:

Your tweets would be funny.

And no, no one ever needs to see Katy footage.

But seriously, I think it's great that he's donating his salary, too. And he has to be in baseball heaven.

3. Lying how?
I never said I was the one who tweeted him. In fact, until Sharon mentioned he was on Twitter, I had no idea. It was just lucky Googling.

He's still the liar here. :)

5. Was it Sha-Sha who tweeted him?
Someone tweeted him, anyway. Sorry to make you look like the liar. Obviously there's but one liar here. David, you naughty boy!

4. Berry, I'm surprised at you.
You should be thrilled that Katy has finally found someone her own age to hang around with.
Where WAS Keith, anyways?

7. I think my mom put
it best so I will leave you my mom's take on Keith's new job. I called it his third job though I might be losing count of how many hats he is wearing these days.

I'm sorry, writing a column about the sport you love is not a third job--it
is manna from heaven--an excuse to go to more games. Well he should donate
the salary--he should pay them for this job.

Love mom

She understands Keith and his sports because she is a lot like him on that as she reminded me.
