He'd have to be begged to do it to save the day, and it would have to be done with Obama's consent, assuming it would be a Gore-Obama ticket. It's been done before when agreement couldn't be reached at the convention. I don't think it's going to happen, but it would be my dream ticket and we'd be absolutely unstoppable. Ultimately, that's the most important thing.

And I can only imagine how palatable Obama would find it at this point. He's been in the arena, doing all the sweating and traveling and money-spending and enduring the slings and arrows, and he's supposed to step aside and let Gore have it? And the best they can do to talk him into it is to present the spectre of President McCain and that they will loyally stand behind him if he runs in 2012?

I'd tell them where they could shove that deal.

And I don't think anything would be unstoppable at this point.

Sorry, I like Gore, but not THAT much. Obama plays the role of the Little Red Hen, and all he has to do is put up with a few months of jokes about how he didn't invent the Internet? And Obama has to shut up and play nice to get his pie in the sky by and by?

I worked in the Draft Gore movement for almost a year and we did everything we could to get him to run. I respect what he's doing and totally understand why he didn't want to run, but if it came down to the convention and we needed him to break a deadlock I'd be so happy if he would agree to be our candidate.
