So, is it safe to talk about Scott Peterson?
Does anyone here have any doubts about whether Scott actually killed Laci? I don't now, but initially I wondered how he could have had the time to carry this out.

It seems like the time frame was very tight. For him to kill her, get her into his truck, go to the warehouse, load his boat up to the truck, drive up to the Marina, launch his boat, go out to the middle of the bay, toss her over, and drive back home before sunrise seemed pretty unrealistic.

Especially to have none of this seen by anybody, apparently.

Originally I was thinking that if he did kill her, it must have been in the heat of the moment. So how could he possibly have had time to do all of this and still cover his tracks? I now think that this was premeditated, and that makes it all the more difficult to understand.

How do you kill your pregnant wife and throw her into the bay? Is Scott truly a sociopath? Does anyone have an opinion on this?

1. I should have followed it more
I paid little attention to this case, but I remember hearing certain things and thinking that he didn't do it. Or he planned it, but had someone else do it.
I would have to really scour all of the story and give a better opinion.
These cases happen too often, but of course we only see the pretty ones on TV. That's why I didn't really pay attention to it.
Once again...I will have to read more about it.

2. Yes , it's safe
One reason I wanted this forum was so that we could discuss this stuff w/o being tortured over it!

As for the LP case: I will admit I did not follow it closely, but it does seem kind of dumb to dump a body right in the area where you went fishing or whatever he did.

3. I have had my doubts, although he probably did it, I just don't know how.
This was my major hurdle:

He has a ticket stamped during the day at the marina, they know where he is all day cause of his cell phone, and the prosecution had this time line as well.

How did he get laci 2 hours away during the day in the back of a pick up truck, take her off the truck in broad daylight put her in the rinky dinky boat and not get noticed.

I mean who in their right mind would bring a body out in broad daylight and try to transport it to a boat. It would be way to risky.

Keep in mind this is how the prosecution said it happened.

They offered no other scenarios...

4. Are you certain of that?
I was thinking that he did all this the night that he killed her, then drove back there during the day to set up his alibi. If what you're saying is true, I am even more amazed at how he could have done all this and no one saw anything! That is really weird.

5. I assume thy luminoled the house
and I understand they found nothing (I could be wrong here, though).

I often wondered that, if he did it, they never found any intereting forensic evidence in the house. I also understand that not even bleach gets rid of blood enough for Luminol to not pick it up.

6. Yeah, my recollection is that there was no real blood evidence
at the house. But he could have easily strangled her and not generated any blood evidence.

7. You might be right Bunny, I was thinking of what the defense
proposed. That Laci was at home the morning of X-mas eve, because they found web activity on the computer, and the defense imtimated it was a site Laci frequented.
