“Disappearance at the Dairy Queen” was broadcast on Dateline on April 17
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30229824/

Cindy Zarzycki went missing at age 13, in East Detroit, MI (Now called Eastpointe, MI).

The police, apparently, just decided she was a runaway and that was that. They paid no attention to Cindy’s two friends who told them Cindy had planned to meet Art Ream at the Dairy Queen.

Art Ream turned out to be the murderer.

1. I know cops have a hard job sometimes
but "duh". Guess, since it was two young kids reporting this, they thought it was not important.
