1. Mine would have to be
when Jon returned after the 9-11 attacks and opened the show with his monologue and he was crying the whole time. He ended by telling us that the view from his office is not of the WTC, but of the Statue of Liberty.

2. That was an unforgettable moment.

I loved the part when he held up his puppy.

My favorite funny moment has to be either this:

Prince Charles Scandal

or this:
Who's Your Baghdaddy?

The Corddry-Helms first debate analysis and the Colbert report, minority of minorities. My friend visited, tonight, another fan of the show, so I showed her both and she laughed out loud at the former, so the debate analysis got my vote.:D

As for my most favorite of all time, which others have mentioned, there is just no contest. It is a classic, Bush* vs. Bush, a video debate between Bush*, the 43rd president, and Texas Governor George Bush, from the year 2000. They don't agree on much and Jon Stewart has a tough time moderating this contentious debate. It's the third one in the top row, for this link. Enjoy! LOL!
:wow:

On edit: I cannot spell Rob Corddry.

4. You're right.
There's so much - but that one really is a gem!

7. And you're right. There is so much that's memorable about that show
Last night's, when he finally got to the Guckert controversy, was exceptional. But this is a passing story. "Bush* vs. Bush" is a classic, which will always be relevant. Thanks, and I agree, that one is a true gem.:-)

5. Bush v. Bush is the best!
Finding a random clip of that online was actually what got me started watching the Daily Show.

(I can't spell Corddry, either. I always remember there's some weird double letter, but never which or where. I think there's some other thread in this group where I spelled his name Corrdry.) :)

And Colbert's description about how his grandfather kept goats happy.

Another one of my all-time favorites was the bit about Katie Couric's televised Colonoscopy. I can't find that clip anywhere. Was that done in the days of Craif Kilborn?

9. Thanks for all the great links!
I also really enjoyed his interviews with the candidates. Those I thought were exceptional were with John Kerry and Dick Gephardt. I was a little disappointed with the interview he did with Dennis Kucinich, who was my candidate. He was remarkably low-key, unlike his usually energetic self, Kucinich that is, not Stewart.

8. I agree, thanks! There are so many great clips from this show, but
This one is a true classic.:D

Anything that got you watching this show was worth it. But, as Jon Stewart has often said, it takes a certain depth of knowledge to appreciate it. You cannot get your news from "The Daily Show"; you already have to be aware of the news to understand what they're talking about.

And I admit to having a tough time spelling Rob Corddry's name. But I had a worse time with James Guckert, LOL! I am still not sure I got that right. I edited more than one post I made to correct that spelling. But he will soon be relegated to oblivion. Rob Corddry will carry on, so I'd better remember how his name is spelled!:-)

10. I can't believe the Samantha Bee seg didn't win.
You know the one where she asks, "Hello what was your name and what were you doing in the porn store". My head almost blew up I was laughing so hard.
