I think it's over
long story short - my husband made a comment tonight, about me visiting a "baby butcher",in front of our almost -12- year old daughter. I had an abortion of a baby by another man long before he & I became involved with one another.

Within the last 5 minutes, he said that it bothers him about every other man I've ever known.

I say the HELL with him. if he can't handle the fact that I was married before, and wasn't a virgin before or after that, then too bad.

Please believe me when I say he was viscious - you could measure the nastiness with a spoon.
At no time has physical abuse been an issue, with our girls or me.

He won't leave, so I guess I will.

1. Emotional abuse
can be even more devastating that physical abuse. At least with that, you - and others - can see the "evidence" of the abuse.

Emotional is more subtle and in the long run much more damaging.

Get out now. Get counseling and have your girls get counseling. Their self-esteem may already have been compromised by a man so self-centered and mean.

2. Emotional abuse
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 05:38 PM by elleng
had me down for years, my daughters encouraged me to leave.

I left when it became physical abuse.

Now the 'girls,' young adults, are upset because I'm living with someone else. I met the 'someone else' before the abuse, and as aquaintances he volunteered to help after I moved out, like give me rides, help me look for place to live.

No good deed goes unpunished.

DO leave, especially as he said what he did in front of daughter.

3. He sounds like a vicious a-hole.

I wonder if he's trying to get you to leave, saying things like that. And if he has someone waiting in the wings.

In any case, sounds like you'd be better off without him.

6. I know the "measuring nastiness with a spoon" thing too.
Yeah, hub used to get really nasty, till he had an affair. Only after I wouldn't let him back home, did he realize that what he did was stupid. Then I got stupid and let him back home.

HUGE mistake!! I'm leaving too!! Good luck yasmina27.
