Dr. Strange Attracts Director Guillermo Del Toro
Guillermo del Toro's interview with EmpireOnline brings up his desires for a Doctor Strange adaptation. He already has a writer in mind for the project and that is none other than Neil Gaiman; "I talked with Neil Gaiman ," del Toro told EmpireOnline. "I said, that's an interesting character because you can definitely make him more in the pulpy occult detective/magician mold and formula than was done in the Weird Tales, for example."

The filmmaker continued, "The idea of a character that really dabbles in the occult in a way that's not X-Filey, where the supernatural is taken for granted. That's interesting."

Del Toro warned fans, though, "I wouldn't use the suit!"

Doctor Strange, Neil Gaiman,...
excuse me while I drool.

1. When I first started drawing Dr. Strange was my favorite character to draw.
I must have done dozens of him. Wish I still had them, but I lost all my early stuff years and years ago in one my numerous moves.

I'd be real interested in seeing any movie about him.

2. Disney And Marvel Team Up For Dr. Strange
Since Disney purchased Marvel Studios, speculation has run wild over which Marvel superhero Disney would bring to the big screen. It turns out that hero may be Doctor Strange. Screenwriting duo Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, of Sahara and the upcoming Conan, have been hired to script a film about the mysterious magician for Marvel and Disney.

6. That actually makes sense.
All that training he did getting his head to catch fire for Ghost Rider could come in handy.

7. That wasn't CGI, either. They actually burned his head to the bone.
Several times during the course of filming, in fact.
