Poll question: Favorite Irish American politician
Just for fun. I know I'm leaving off many, so post your favorite if he/she isn't listed.

On a side note, did anyone else see the Barack O'Bama buttons last St. Patricks day in the Chicago parade? Funny!

2. Yes, I believe he is only part
But I'm including him because of his well known visits to Ireland and the attention he gave to the Irish peace process.

7. And Mitchell pushed for ALL groups to renounce violence
The British and Irish governments requested him as chairman of the decommissioning committee.
(an adopted child, Mitchell only knows that his paternal grandparents were from Ireland)

BTW, the real St. Patrick's Day parade in Chicago is the South Side Irish parade held the Sunday before March 17th, down Western Avenue from 103rd Street to Kennedy Park at 113th Street.
