Name your drink! We have all sorts, including Jamesons for the Catholics, Bushmills for the Protestants and poitin for the rest of ya heathens! (old whiskey joke)

And of course, the Blonde in the Black Skirt for all and sundry...

1. Ah, Maeve, ye are one hell of a bartender....
Would ya please be giving me a Powers? If ye don't have it, a Jameson's will do me fine.

And buy yourself the tipple of your pleasure.

2. There are three joys of a virtual pub
The stock is limitless,
the drinks do not intoxicate
and the company remains pleasant!

There's a triad to start things off on the right foot--word play and hospitality being hallmarks of the Irish tradition!

Slainte is tainte--health and wealth

3. I'll take a nice tasty pint of Guinness
I've only recently discovered the wonder that is Guinness. Never liked it until the summer. I guess the taste grew on me, now I can't get enough!

8. Ah, now...if you want to water your whiskey, go ahead
But I won't serve it that way, not Irish. A bit on the side and you can alter it to your pleasure.

However, a bit of water does make a decided change to some Scotches, particularly an Islay, making smoother...less peaty.
