Bush has had Six years...Hitler had Twelve
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 08:49 PM by dragon82a
We now teeter on the brink of a new war...on the brink of economic collapse....Bush seems to be gaining on Hitler in his quest for nihilism...

ni•hil•ism

Pronunciation: (nī'u-liz"um, nē'-),
—n.
1. total rejection of established laws and institutions.
2. anarchy, terrorism, or other revolutionary activity.
3. total and absolute destructiveness, esp. toward the world at large and including oneself: the power-mad nihilism that marked Hitler's last years.
4. Philos.
a. an extreme form of skepticism: the denial of all real existence or the possibility of an objective basis for truth.
b. nothingness or nonexistence.
5. (sometimes cap.) the principles of a Russian revolutionary group, active in the latter half of the 19th century, holding that existing social and political institutions must be destroyed in order to clear the way for a new state of society and employing extreme measures, including terrorism and assassination.
6. annihilation of the self, or the individual consciousness, esp. as an aspect of mystical experience.

Out of Curiosity:
A question: Do you think martial law will be declared by Bush before the 2008 election?

2. But the GOP has been planning for this since Nixon was thrown out
So really, it has been thirty years. Bush is just the figurehead they put out there in 2000. The GOP guys behind the curtain started the process after their fit of anger over losing the WH in the 70's.

4. hmmm
Planning for thirty years to outright destroy the country?

I think its more of a crazed idea/plan of the supramajority of GOPers permenently controlling the country that they have been working on.

But the thing they didnt count on was the fact that they were literally incompetent to do something with the power once they got it.

I mean look at the screws ups --one after another golden opportunities to manipulate the country into going along with their ideas however...they dont dwell in the same world we do. Theirs is a bright, shiny world lubricated with money, and they only partially realize they have put a retarded nephew in charge of the nukes.

Heck, Cheney has even moved his investments out of the country. Thats not to say Cheney won't get the chimp to pull the trigger. He thinks hes just as invunerable as ever..

5. They are doing what they are told to do.
The next one will too.

The executive only plays with internal issues, international ones are set for them.

7. The next POTUS or the next GOP POTUS?
I have a hard time accepting that someone like Dennis Kucinich could be a part of the bush/nazi takeover of America. Certainly there are Dems who you cannot trust (see the FISA surrender to the dark side), but I think there's a chance, given the election of a quality candidate like Kucinich or perhaps Obama, that we stave off the nazification of the USA for at least 4 more years.

Help me out here, just trying to get your point. thanks!

6. Pretty bleak assessment, but so true. He is truly scary. Americans
wouldn't need to flock to the cineplex if they'd just spend a few hours at DU, etc. (There's literally too many websites, talk show hosts, books, etc. to mention.) Welcome.

You are soooo right. It's time people recognized the patterns of government which started with Nixon.
I see it as a pattern of treason for more than 30 years.
The same group backed Nixon, Ford, Reagon, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.
They have robbed us and chipped away at our freedoms.

Nixon..... oil shortage......recession
War....secret government

Regan....oil crisis....recession
War....secret government

Bush I....oil crisis....recession
War....secret government

Bush II....oil crisis....recession
War....secret government

These people are getting rich manipulating the citizens of our country.

9. I'm not convinced he's going anywhere...
He'll bomb Iran, stage another 9/11, then declare himself King. The wheels are already in motion...

10. If it happens, we're done
Even Bush and Cheney aren't stupid enough to think an air campaign against Iran will stop there. Seymour Hersh has done a number of good stories quoting anonymous military officials who talk about the inevitable need for ground troops if an attack on Iran is started from the air.

Of course, that would be more disastrous than Iraq. Iran is a bigger country, with more people, a somewhat competent military, and a well-equipped paramilitary that's got expertise in guerilla warfare to make the Iraqi insurgents look like amateurs. If we bomb Iran, we're talking about the bankruptcy of our nation and the destruction of our military. And there are no profits in that. Bush is stupid, but not that stupid.

Edited on Mon May-05-08 07:38 PM by GreenTea
land & wildlife (ANWR) for the oil corporations, complete control & censoring of the Internet, unions made illegal, 100% republican controlled electronic voting machines with no audits or accountability and abolishing Constitution's Church & State for his fascist "Christian" nation.

Of course now it won't be so easy like it was his first six years with complete and total power when he had a Republican Congress, Senate, Supreme Court & Executive Branch (and the media)....But that won't stop him from trying. In so much if he can maneuver domestic terrorism in order to get Marshall Law.

Fuck - Heil Bush (and Cheney)!

Clearly you know nothing of hitler. I just love you folks who
toss around words when you are nothing more than ignorant of
history and live in an emotional wasteland of fear. Have some
faith in this country. Go study some history. Maybe you can
still mature.
