Are the Dems finally standing up for themselves?
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 08:46 PM by Daylin Byak
Are we finally standing up for what we believe in? first we speak out againist Alito with a possible Filibuster then we call for a closed session of the Senate, blocking any republicans from coming in and spiting them.

Are we finally speaking out now?

2. let us have an oppostion that opposes!!!!
make public declarations all over the place:

what are the republicans hiding?
are they deceiving the american people?
no pardon for libby until there is a verdict so americans can see the truth.

etc.

everytime an elected dem gets in front of a microphone or camera that sort of thing should be said.

4. How the Democrats Will Get the Heartland Back

Down in Texas, a lot of us grassroots Democrats have known for a long time that Democrats didn't lose the heartland vote over ideological refinements. They lost it over turning into the Wimp Party. People like fighters. They figure if you're not a fighter as a campaigner, then they sure won't be able to count on you to fight for them when in office.

Most Democrats are salt of the earth, but we let the Beltway Dem silk-tie bunch define us into being nothing but the cake frosting. I'm not trashing the empathy platform, I'm all for it. But we're not going to attain it with earnest pleas for mercy and compassion. We have to fight for it, with strength and passion, demanding it as the just rights of the people! And we have to add to the empathy planks our tough and passionate fights for the preservation of Constitutional democracy and liberty, and our unflinching resolve to knock out corporate government mano a mano. Fighting Democrats are rising again. Fighting Democrats will win!

For Texas Attorney General 2006
