Performance days vs Training days
Do you look at some days as performance days even when you are not in any kind of competition? Usually Thursday night at the gym there is a large group of boulderers and we tend to put out an all out effort. Weekend outdoors and Tuesdays I try to look at it more as a training session and stay well under the point of exhaustion.
Even though the chances of me ever winning a bouldering comp are slim (to none) I still usually have the best sessions ever due to the vibe of the comps.
