First my knee, now my back.
Crap!

I finally get back into my workout routine & I twisted my knee -- doing housework, no less! Had to back off on squats & step aerobics for about two weeks. Then last week, I placed a very small container on the bottom shelf of the fridge & as I was standing back up something in my back locked up. Called in sick two days & have done nothing all weekend except for ice & heat & ice & heat. And I hate the ice part! Although, thanks to a friend's suggestion, I found that a bag of frozen peas works wonderfully. Just have to remember to toss them when I'm all healed up.

Talking to people, it seems that more likely than not, you will throw your back out doing something small, or picking up something light. Is it cuz when we lift something heavy, we actually put some thought into our form?

At any rate, the back thing has me immobilized completely. It has been 4 days & I'm ready for it to be over. I'm such a baby when I don't feel good.

Hope you all are doing well!

1. I went for my first walk today since hurting my back.
It went well! I did two miles at a leisurely pace & some mild stretching when I got home. I'm finally on the mend! I'll go easy this week as I try to get back intostrength training. Cardio will be walking only. I'll save step for next week.

It was great to get out & get fresh air! Getting outside really helps my attitude.

I'm really hoping to get 10-15 pounds off before the New Year.
