I'm finally back on track with my exercise/weight loss program.
Wow, I stalled out for months! Last year I lost 20 pounds & then just sat there for most of this year. Since Sept 1st, I have lost 12 pounds. It feels good to get back on track. Another 15-20 pounds & I'll be at my goal. Ahhhh, I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

1. Congragulations!
That inspires me to get on top of it. I've lost thirty pounds in the past two years but I have not continued to lose anymore. To be honest, I'd love to lose thirty more.

Anyway, great job and keep up the good work!

2. Stall outs are really discouraging, aren't they?
This wasn't even a plateau -- it was a complete lack of any progress due to lack of consistency in exercise & diet. Mental ruts can be hard to get out of. Sometimes our brain is our worst enemy. Thoughts like, "You'll never lose any more weight," or "Better keep those fat pants, you'll need them," keep us from even trying. I find when I get in a rut like that it takes a monstrous dose of discipline to overcome it.

Thirty pounds is a great start. Persevere, GRLMGC! You can do it!!

4. Walking & step aerobics for cardio
& strength training. For the month of October I am working on consistency. I'll do really good for two weeks then totally slack off for a week, so I'm aiming for filling in my workout calendar more consistently this month & hopefully through the end of the year, too.

Also, I want to start looking for another job & I need to get back into my professional clothes. ;) Another 20 pounds should do it.

5. Just remember
exercise is fun.

If you get bored, don't slack off, mix it up a little bit.
