Saturday, February 17. I really, really worked out today - how about you?
This weekend John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga, is in Seattle leading his fifth annual workshop here. I've finally recovered from my cancer surgery, but my chronic back and hip problems have flared up (great timing, I know), so it was a little intense. Two two-hour classes today and two two-hour classes tomorrow.

Anyone else working out this weekend? :)

1. Nope, just had surgery on my ankle on Tuesday.
That sounds like huge fun! Not the hip and back problems, but the yoga classes. I took a three day yoga intensive with Rolf Gates the weekend before my surgery. Not as strenuous as what you describe, but still a great program. I am looking forward to doing more in the Fall and possibly doing my 200-hour yoga instructor certification.

4. Yikes - hope your ankle is healing well
Surgery is never fun. But the Rolf Gates intensive sounds like a great way to get your body ready for it, at least.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Take care! :hi:

2. Wow, sounds like you had a great workout...
I did bench presses in the garage.

Flat DB presses (warmup) 2 x 12
Flat BB presses 7 x 8, 6, 6, 4, 2, 1, 12

On my 1 rep max I got pinned and I was working out alone. That is what you get when you don't eat enough calories and have been cutting with a calorie deficit for the last 6 weeks. It worked out okay, I just rolled the bar down my chest to my stomach to where I could sit up and move it off of me. I guess it had to happen sometime.

Finished off with EZ- bar curls

these have been hurting my wrists lately so I might switch to straight bar curls.
