It is Chest and Back Day, and I have the flu -- What do I do?
Fighting the flu for a week or so, yesterday seems like the last day, but I still am feeling not so hot --- so do I:

Attempt regular working out - warmup, 3 sets, 6 to 8 reps to failure
Try lite workout - warmup, 3 sets 10 to 12 reps
or just do 30 mins of cardio and deal w weights when I feel better?

THNX!

1. Listen to your body when you get to the gym.
Try your first set. How did it feel? Think you're gonna crash before the end?

Bear in mind, if you're still sick, the crash at the end of the "gym high" is gonna be rough.

Big words from a big idiot, as I would try to go even heavier JUST to prove to myself that I wasn't sick anymore...

4. You are so right. . .here's what my body told me
After 15 minutes of cardio, it said "enough already" so I finished up w 3 lightish sets of four out of my usual six exercises. . .

ready to crawl back into bed, but at least I got to the gym.

THANKS

2. Agree with flvegan...
See how you feel when you get to the gym! Personally, I tend to do a lighter weight workout when I'm recovering from illness. I find cardio wears me down much quicker.

3. Do you have a fever?
That's one time when I never exercise. Personally, I think you'd be doing yourself a favor if you took a day or two off and went to bed. (Make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids!!)
