Daily Exercise Thread, 2/21/05
This morning I got up and went for a half-hour walk (1 mile) before work! I'm a real lazybones so just getting up and doing something before work as opposed to sleeping in is quite an accomplishment.

I've also started on South Beach today. We'll see how that goes. I'll keep you posted! First hurdle: foregoing the free pizza that comes with our weekly Monday meeting in favor of something a little more diet-friendly.

1. A bit sore this morning
Yesterday I pushed it a little harder than I should have on both the treadmill and the aerodyne.....

knees and thighs are a bit sore going up and down the stairs to the computer room....

may try to walk it off this afternoon if the weather stays nice. (Supposed to hit 29 degrees with intermittent sunshine today)

4. Typical arm day for me, though
I got a great compliment in the locker room. Okay, minds out of the gutter, now...

Seriously, a guy who's probably been lifting since before I was born came over and remarked that I "probably didn't build those guns overnight" commenting on my arms. We had a short discussion, then he left. Nice to hear, but also nice coming from someone even bigger than I am. Sure, it was pure ego, but a lift nonetheless.

Oh, yeah...did 20 mins on the elliptical, too.

6. Muay Thai
Made it to Thai boxing class last night. Happy bruises on shin.

Then this morning I went for an early bike ride.

And in Houston, it's, um... supposed to hit 80 today!
