Daily Exercise Thread - 2/12/05
Today my exercise will consist of running around doing housework: picking up, sweeping, dusting, etc. And, if I finish early, walking around the flea market in the sunshine. :D

I have been concerned lately, b/c I went back to drinking coffee after laying off for about 2.5 years. I can't help it. I love the taste of coffee and I missed it. So I tried the decaf.

I gained three pounds in two weeks.

I stopped and lost a pound yesterday. Go figure. So I guess I can't drink coffee every day. You might think it's silly to fuss over a pound or two, but I'm so small, five pounds either way looks like 10 on other people.

1. do you think it's the coffee
that made you gain the 3 pounds? yikes, maybe i'll try to give it up. i know what you mean about a few pounds, though. it's how you feel that counts. i'm 5'9 and i like to weigh no more than 135 and if i go up to 140, i'm miserable. sounds trivial to a lot of people but it's more about how i feel.

enjoy the flea market. i think we're going for a walk in the park as soon as it warms up about 10 more degrees.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that even "decaf" still has some caffiene in it, however little.

Some people, including Atkins, which I've followed for 2.5 years, tell you to lay off the caffiene. To wake you up, it makes you release cortisol, the stress hormone. Cortisol, like insulin, is another hormone which tells the body, "store my fat."

edit: have a good time at the park. :-)
