Wednesday, 1/4: I worked out today--did you?
Edited on Wed Jan-04-06 10:12 AM by MissMillie
:hi: Good Morning Folks!

Well, I'm back in the swing of things this morning. I jogged one mile, which isn't a lot but since I'm not completely over the head/chest cold I'll be proud that I did anything at all. I then moved on to the elliptical machine to finish my cardio workout (I did 20 minutes).

Then I went into the weight room and worked the upper body. I was able to do all of my pre- (hernia) surgery machines for the first time since the surgery, but I had to lower the weight on a few of them (the lat pulldown gives me the most trouble).

I'm happy to be back. Between my gym being closed (it's a college gym) and my catching a head cold, I have really been sidelined. NO MORE!

(on edit) I forgot to mention my diet yesterday. It was much better than the day before, but still needs some work. I think what I may need most is a trip to the grocery store. I have a lot of holiday food at the house--not exactly the healthiest stuff.

How did you folks make out today?

4. I don't think I'm gonna get to the gym today.
And as for diet yesterday, I caved in and had a hamburger when I was out with friends. On the bright side, it was from a ranch-raised, grain-fed cow. And I haven't had red meat in about a month -- so that's not too terribly bad I guess -- but I certainly could have skipped the potato chips that came with it. ;)

5. I went back to the pool this morning after a hiatus.
There is more of me now than there has ever been before so I'm looking to get to pre-Thanksgiving weight and conditioning.

6. I've done nothing.
I did, however, just take a shower.

I still got kids around the house, so doing a full workout isn't really practical today. I'm planning to jump on the ole bandwagon, once again, come next Monday, 1/9.

There, I said it.
:)

7. glad to see ya again, MissMillie!
A mile jog and 20 minutes on the machine is a *lot*, considering your cold and surgery. :-)

I did Step Blast today.

11. Glad you're feeling better!!
I did six miles on the treadmill today, with handweights for 2 of those miles. Then messed around with the ball - still learning the routine.
