Daily Exercise Thread - 1/26/04
Well, dear readers. I flaked out this morning. :P I can't seem to get in a full 5 consecutive days. There has to be one morning where I rest apparently.

I'm really enjoying the video thread, btw. And I hope this daily thread is as helpful to you as it is to me. It's great encouragement. :D

The human body was designed to walk, run or stop; it wasn't built for coasting. - Cullen Hightower

1. You'll get there!
My biggest problem now is forcing myself to take one day off!! LOL I love my workouts.

I did 30 mins on the treadmill this morning, ran 10 mins of it (still trying to take it easy with the ankle I twisted last week). 15 mins strength training & tonight is 45 mins of TKD training.

anyway, am going to try to add a half hour on the recumbent every night in addition to morning workout - it really works my butt and thighs like nothing else :P

3. Upper body workout day for me.
I think my pilates class this afternoon will be cancel due to the snow we are having. The gym will probably close soon.

4. Today...
I was VERY pressed for time this morning, so I did a fast WATP mile, adding 3-lb weights. I'll probably get antsy to do more later, and I do a second fast mile with 3- or 5-lb weights.

And, yes, I love this daily thread!

5. Adding more -
I did do more, but I didn't just do a second fast mile. I did an additional FOUR miles. I put in the WATP 4-Mile Super Challenge, intending to do just the first two miles (the second mile is very fast at just 12 minutes), but after the second mile I had such high energy, I just kept going for the full four miles. Although this video doesn't use weights, I added 3-lb weights anyway, for about 45 minutes of the walk.

That makes a total of five miles today and a total of about one hour with weights.

6. Okay, so I was feeling bold today
Felt that my back workout could wait another day so I could squeeze in a second day of legs. Well...let's just say, mission accomplished.

BTW, anyone with a sadomasochistic bend would love leg extensions done as negatives, with a full 5 second hold at peak contraction during the last 3 reps. When those knees start shakin, you know the end is near.

7. Hmmm... sounds great! LOL
Ever try 21's on your leg extensions? Those are killer, too...
