Monday 9/12: I worked out today--did you?
Hi gang!

I did 35 minutes on the elliptical machine, worked the lat pulldown, the tricep curl and the leg adductor machines, and also did my knee work.

What's your story today? :hi:

1. Yes, I did! The pool is open again and I was there!
What a relief--the pool was closed for maintenance for two weeks and the alternate pool at another YMCA sprang a leak and was out of commission.

It was good to be back in the water.

2. I will start swimming soon too.
I got a tattoo recently and have to wait a few weeks, but then I'll be headed to the pool at least once a week. I may even pay to take a few lessons.

4. The lessons are a good idea. I took some when I started up and
it was great to correct things at the outset that might have been hard to unlearn later.

Tattoo--cool. What didja get?

9. Front delt pull so no chest or shoulder work today
I worked back, rear delts, traps, and abs

pulldowns multiple hand positions
bent rows
calf machine shrugs
crunches
leg lifts

Short workout, but intense.

Trying not to hurt my front delt anymore than it already is. I was throwing my 35lb son in the air and he kind of shifted funny and I started to get that burning sensation, not good.

11. My back HURTS!!! Wahhhhhhhhhh
But for better or worse that didn't stop me from doing a chest/back maybe kinda superset day.

It's hard to push as much as you can and still try to keep an area from getting worse as far as pain goes, but we do what we can.

16. Is it just sore or are you injured
if you are injured, don't further injure yourself especially your back. I'm battling a pulled front delt and not doing any chest or shoulder work. Better to skip one day rather than one month because you injure it further.

15. Yes, finally
The darn place was so busy I did the weights first as no bikes or treadmills were available. I was midway through the circuit when a bike became available so I pounced on it and did 6 miles in just over 21 minutes. Then I finished the weight circuit. I never did get on a treadmill.
