I did my upper body work today as well as a 1 mile walk. I increased the weight that I work out with on 4 of the exercises that I do. I did the same on 5 different exercises at my last workout. I think I'm going to stick with what I'm doing now for a little while so I don't over-do it.

You all may recall that my knees were hurting me after I did some jogging every day for a couple of weeks straight. The right knee still hurts a tad bit, but the left one is totally healed. I think I'm going to can that jogging stuff. Somebody here told me that you get just as good a workout with walking and that sounds good to me.

1. I'm glad your knees are better. You're good, you know? Your
body gave you an excuse to give up and you kept going. Rock on! :headbang:

2. Thank you
I might be a bit crazy too. I guess you could say I'm just really motivated. I did rest for a day and that helped out a lot. But I was missing my workout just for that short time I rested.

But I've been overweight and out of shape for nearly my entire life except for a few brief periods. I used to be able to run 2 miles a day when I was 20. And I worked out with weights for a short time when I was 27 and lost some weight. But I've never stuck to it. I'm commited this time. I quit smoking 3 weeks ago as well.

5. I was drenched at the end of mine!
Only on day 3 of my journey. I am focussing on a month of strictly cardio training to get my groove back and drop a few.
As mentioned in a previous post we just bought an elliptical trainer and I love the damn thing!
Day 1 - 20 minutes
Day 2 - Same
today - 35 minutes.

After a month I will start adding some light weights to my program. Upper body one day, lower the next, and then on the 7th day I will rest!
