three years now. I started with prenatal yoga and really enjoyed it. After I had my baby, I kept practicing. I found I could do it at home during short periods of time when the baby was asleep with little equipment, just a mat.
I have taken some classes at the local Y and Bikram as well. Also read a few books and have a few videos.
Currently, my practice is in some disarray. I go to the Y because they offer child watch, and it is the only way I can get time for a real practice. There was a teacher there I adored, but she was too completely rad for the YMCA and was fired. So now I am stuck doing really repetitive and uninspiring classes. I feel well physically after I finish, but there is no sense of adventure from learning new poses, no feeling of being challenged. I guess the challenge is mostly being patient, grrrrr. Anyway, classes are not going so hot these days.
I have re-instituted my daily home practice. I feel so much better physically and spiritually when I practice daily. My first love is climbing, and the yoga makes a huge improvement to my climbing as well.
In the Fall, my son starts preschool two mornings a week, so that will give me the opportunity to sneak out to a studio class every week. I am looking forward to it.
