Saturday 4/9: I worked out today--did you?
I just came back from the track at the high school. I jogged 1.75 miles. I wanted to do 2.0, but my hip nixed it.

This is the first time I jogged outside. It's a different ball game. One side of the track had the wind blowing right at my face. It was cold in my lungs. During the first lap I wondered if my lungs were going to take this. By the time I got to the 4th lap, I was happy for the cool air.

How was your workout today?

1. I did one hour of taxing yard work. Constantly moving while
holding equipment the entire hour. That counts, as far as I'm concerned! (my arms....ouch!)

Then I had breakfast: a bit of shredded wheat with nonfat milk.

Then I did a slow walk with the dog.

Start of a good day!

3. I added two miles to my neighborhood bike route.
I also made a point of getting out while it was still in the 70s as it gets pretty hot climbing those hills, though a great workout!

Cathe Friedrich's Circuit Max. It's 60 minutes that is 1/3 hi-lo, 1/3 step and 1/3 kickbox, with toning circuits in between.

10. beautiful day
Did a lot of cleaning, moving plants outside, etc. Then went for a nice leisurely bike ride with my wife.
