AOU commitee changes - all sorts of new stuff!

The big news is the reassignment of North American Tanagers from Thraupidae to Cardinalidae, although it appears they will still be called "Tanagers" (instead of Pirangas as one commenter suggested, but "Scarlet Piranga" just sounds wrong). Also, Carduelis will be split into two genera - Acanthis ans Spinus (Pine Siskin will be Spinus Pinus!).

Good news for people who hate long bird names - the Sharp-tailed Sparrows are having their handles shortened to Saltmarsh Sparrow and Nelson's Sparrow.
