Recommend some good books about birding!

I just finished "The Big Twitch" by Sean Dooley. It's about his attempt to see 700 for Australia in 2002. He's got a good sense of humor, and even though (most of) the birds are foreign, the book moves very well and it's an entertaining read.

"Kingbird Highway" by Kenn Kaufman is a perennial favorite. It's about his attempt in the late 70's to break the American big year record ALL WHILE HITCHHIKING. He sleeps under bridges and eats cat food.

In the realm of fiction, "Pelican Blood" by Cris Freddi is possibly the most awesome book I have ever read. It's about a British twitcher who decides that there's nothing to live for once he hits 600, so he may as well off some people while he's still alive.

Anyone else have any good suggestions?

I'm actually reading Pete Dunne's Essential Field Guide companion right now - it's a pretty good read actually, not just pages of dry description.
