No.

Edit: "No" is my opinion on the record, to clear up any confusion that might have.

2. I have it and love it.
Trent has seemed to more melodic, industrial/metal sounds instead of the thrash metal that he seemed to be moving to earlier in his career. It's a good addition.

3. Cool. Will go on the "to get" list then.

I read a review that called Trent a "one-trick
pony." Whatever. I like the trick.

Thx.

5. I heard the single on the radio
(yes i know how cheesy that sounded)

the track was pretty good, i thought it might have had shades of disco in it. i'm not a huge NIN fan, but even a bad NIN album is better than 99% of what you'd hear on the radio.

i know radio is a bad standard to put it up against.

6. That's the only reason I knew there was a new record.

I heard the single on the radio and it was good
enough to get my attention. "Oh, goodie, new
Trent."

7. I was a huge NIN fan
until about 2001. Trent is a musical genius but I've lost interest in industrial music so I doubt I'll be getting the new CD.

The new single sounds pretty good, tho.

8. I really don't think you can classify it as hard core industrial
It's too melodic, but still with that harshness that is NIN. It might have shades of metal/industrial/electronica but it is definitely one of his most approachable albums. I bet "Hand that feeds" gets lots of airplay.

9. I absolutely farking LOVE it.
There is a breadth of influences present in the material that shows how much Trent Reznor has matured as a songwriter. Industrial, disco, and perhaps even subtle nods to certain classic rock bands are present here.

Definitely worth owning if you're even a casual NIN fan.

10. Looks like this got bumped to the top of the "to buy" list.
Nine Inch Nails Stand Up To MTV

MTV tried to sensor one of their performance, and they
told MTV to shove it.

Nice.

11. It's all I have listened to for the past week
The only way I could describe it is a Fragile/Pretty Hate Machine Hybrid with a splash of 80's and a hint of disco.

WithUH TeethUH! :headbang:

It has a lot of fun bass riffs, and I just cannotfuckingturnitoff.

12. You need to check out

www.ninremixes.com. There are a ton of good remixes by everyday people redoing some of NIN nails songs all with the blessing of Trent Reznor.
